First Try HDR – December 5, 2012

This is my first try at HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography. I was so excited to try this! It consists of the same image taken with different exposures. Afterwards, software is used to create a single image from the multiple photos.

Emily – Senior Photos – September 22, 2012

Recently, I had the great experience to try my hand at portrait photography. Emily needed Senior Photos and I said “Sure.” We had a fun time learning together!

I just love Hovander Park in Ferndale, WA. It has a quiet setting, few people, great natural scenery (flowers, trees, grass), a few animals and even some very interesting buildings. Everything a photographer could ask for!

Emily was a super model; we had great weather and lighting; and amaze amaze, I think these photos turned out beautifully!

Green Abstract

I have a certain fascination with lines, patterns, textures and abstracts within the natural world.

Here is the un-yet flowering part of a sedum (rock garden plant).

Chuckanut Dog Agility Trials – July 21, 2012

My son and I went to the local dog agility trials put on by the Chuckanut Dog Training Association in Lynden, WA. It was great fun watching the dogs jump, run and go through tunnels. These dogs are super fast and super smart and oh…. so excited to run and play!!!

Something Different – July 17, 2012

As some of you have already guessed, I’m not much of a people person for photography. If you don’t believe me, go take a look at my India Gallery. While I was at our local 4th of July street fair, I noticed some very cute children.

These two little brothers were carefully holding a cake from the cake walk.

She was sharing her seat with her best friend.

Best Friends

And this little red head… I was trying to think of a great title like “Petulant” or….. Her mom, in the left of the photo, was getting after her and the little girl was doing her best to stomp her feet and pout as she followed along. It was quite endearing, especially since I wasn’t the mom ;).
